Why Ubuntu HR Consulting Exists
Some decisions begin not with certainty, but with discomfort.
In November 2023, I sat in a conference room in Bangui reviewing an HR diagnostic for a major international organization. The data showed rising turnover, declining engagement, and increasing absenteeism.
Behind every metric were people—doctors, logisticians, program managers—leaving not from lack of skill, but from feeling unheard. Policies existed. Yet the gap between what was written and what was lived remained wide.
After more than a decade supporting humanitarian organizations across Africa, I chose to move beyond diagnosing dysfunction toward building what works. From that commitment, Ubuntu HR Consulting was born.
